Val d’Isere is open for the summer on 29^th June, and it looks like it’s going to be a lovely warm start to the summer season in the resort.

The 29^th is also the start of the ‘Rallye de Chamois’ motor bike rally.

In the summer of 1970, over 6,000 bikers attended the Chamois Rally to ascend the Col d’Iseran, the highest mountain pass in the Alps. Last year, 47 years on, this historic rally was reborn!
This year all types of two-wheelers, past, present and future, are invited to join the rally.

Programme:

Saturday 29th

10am – Riders arrive and the Chamois Rally village opens (bike tests, excursions, catering, entertainment, bar etc)
11am – Excursion leaves the resort centre
3.30pm – Stunt show – Avenue Olympique
4pm – Ascent of the Iseran pass – 2 770m
5pm – Local speciality tasting at the Ouillette lake
7pm – Stunt show – Avenue Olympique
7.30pm – Apéro – concert – Rock atmosphere in the Chamois Village marquee – Tourist Office square
9pm : Rock concert with ROCKET QUEENS
9.45pm – Rock concert with LADIES BALL BREAKER’S (all girl ACDC)

Sunday 30^th

9am – Chamois Rally village opens
Excursions :
• With Val d’Isere motorbike club (meet at resort centre)
• Unaccompanied
