Tete de Solaise – one of our favourites for food and views!
What: A great place to stop off for food or drink on the mountain
Why: Superb food and service.. and the views!
Where: At the top of the Solaise
When: Daily from 9am to 5pm
This is one of our favourite places to eat on the mountain in Val d’Isere. We had a lovely lunch here recently, the food was spot-on, as was the service. Karen in particular, who seated us, went out of her way to be helpful, and found us a great table. To top it all off the views are really spectacular.
The outside terrace is open from 9am to 5pm and is the perfect place for a a drink on a sunny day. Under the large umbrella you can enjoy a range of drinks and snacks, from vin chaud and hot chocolate to champagne, wine and beer.
The restaurant is open from 12pm until 3pm and has a terrace and an indoor area, allowing you you to dine on a good or bad weather day, and has exceptional panoramic mountain views. It offers a wide range if dishes, from traditional French dishes such as tartiflette to wood-fired meats, fish, burgers and pizzas.
Definitely worth at least one visit during your holiday!
