This 24th edition of the International Adventure & Discovery Film Festival of Val d’Isère will take place online and will be broadcast live from April 19th to 22nd 2021 on the Festival website. There’s a wide range of films on offer covering diverse sports and adventurous locations around the world.
Each evening, 3 of the 11 films in the official selection will be broadcast for free via the festival website and the traditional discussion with the adventurers will be broadcast live after each film. The public can ask questions about the films via social networks. Stéphane Dugast will cover some of them during the exchange with the adventurer or the director present on the stage. After each broadcast, the public is invited to vote for each film on the Festival’s website in order to award the Audience Prize. This year only the Audience Prize and the Espoir Titra Film Prize will be awarded during the awards ceremony on Thursday 22 April. This Espoir Titra Film Prize is awarded by the production company Titra Film to a first production.

The OFF
As every year, the Festival offers films out of competition to broaden horizons. For this 24th edition, local adventurers and athletes present us: Vélocia, a documentary by journalist and mountain biker Lucy Paltz on the position of women in the world of cycling, as well as films by our downhill athlete Léo Taillefer on skis or in the air. Paraglider Maxence Cavalade will offer a teaser of his freefly challenge. These films will be presented on the occasion of official evenings and available on the Festival website.
