Criterium de la Premiere Neige – 14th & 15th December

An unmissable event in the Alpine Skiing World Cup and a major start-of-season event, Val d’Isère has brought together the best skiers on the planet for this competition since 1955.

Come and experience first-hand the thrilling atmosphere of the Critérium! The men’s events will take place on 14 and 15 December.

FRIDAY 13 DECEMBER
Official opening of the 69th Critérium
Val d’Isère will be celebrating its champions in the resort centre from 5.45pm. Come along to the special area reserved for pedestrians (Avenue Olympique), where we’ll introduce you to the competitors.
Programme:
• From 5.45pm: Street entertainment on Avenue Olympique, DJ Loran and cheerleaders “Pom Pom Girls des Alpes” (podium on Avenue Olympique)
• From 5.45pm to 6pm: Signature session with the Dynastar athletes.
• 6pm: Official opening of the 69th Critérium, with Clément Noël and mulled wine.
• 6.30pm: Public draw for start numbers (podium on Avenue Olympique).
The road between the two roundabouts on Avenue Olympique will be closed from 5.45pm to 7.30pm.

SATURDAY 14 DECEMBER
Giant Slalom
An unmissable event at the start of the season, the Alpine Skiing World Cup will be taking place on the legendary Bellevarde slope, for a weekend of madness!
– Fan zone: Thanks to the Critérium’s partners and the exhibitors in the finish area, a whole host of events are in store to keep everyone entertained, including a party stage with live pop/rock concerts, a DJ, a brass band, skis to try out, accessory brands on show and tasting sessions with some delicious Savoie specialities to sample.
Admission: €10/day
Opening hours: 8.30am to 3.30pm – Slope finish area (at the foot of the “Face de Bellevarde” slope)
Programme:
• 8.30am – Opening of the Critérium village
• From 8.30am – Musical entertainment with “Funky Brass”
• 9.10am – “Pom Pom Girls des Alpes” cheerleading show – Finish area stage
• 9.30am – Start of 1st heat
• 11.10am – Pop/rock concert with “G Trio” – Finish area stage
• 11.45am – “Funky Brass” brass band – Finish area stage
• 12.40pm – “Pom Pom Girls des Alpes” cheerleading show – Finish area stage
• 1pm – Start of 2nd heat Top 30
• 2pm – Flower ceremony – Finishing enclosure

Award ceremony – Men’s Giant Slalom

• From 5.45pm: Street entertainment (Avenue Olympique), DJ Loran and cheerleaders “Pom Pom Girls des Alpes” (podium on Avenue Olympique)
• From 5.45pm to 6pm: Signature session with the Rossignol athletes.
• 6.15pm: Award ceremony for the Men’s Giant Slalom (podium on Avenue Olympique)
• 6.30pm: Public draw for start numbers for the Men’s Slalom (podium on Avenue Olympique)
