On June 27th the annual Iserane cycling event takes place and the road from Val d’Isère to Bonneval sur Arc, via the Col de l’Iseran, is reserved for cyclists making this legendary climb!
Since 1937, this road linking Maurienne and Tarentaise has seen several stages of the Tour de France pass as well as countless cycle tourists, motorcyclists and motorists. The Col de l’Iseran is an essential part of the Route des Grandes Alpes, with its panorama of 360 ° and the Franco-Italian summit of Tsanteleina in the foreground.
Automobile and pedestrian traffic is prohibited outside the developed areas and paths, the D902 road between the Tourist Office roundabout, the Iseran pass and Bonneval between 8:30 am and 12 noon.
A refreshment will be offered to cyclist at the top of the pass.
8 am: Registration for the raffle opens on the Place de l’Office du Tourisme
8:30 am: Opening of the road to the cycling event and closing to motorized vehicles
10am: Earliest time authorized to cycle back down to Val d’Isère
10:30 am: Closing of registrations for the raffle
From 11 am to 1 pm: “Sugar Lady” concert
12 pm: Reopening of the road to motor vehicles
From 12pm to 12:30pm: Raffle draw on the Place de l’Office de Tourisme
