Criterium de la Premiere Neige ski competition 9/10 and 16/17 December
The Criterium de la Premiere Neige is an unmissable event in the Alpine Ski World Cup. It started in Val d’Isere in1955, and brings together the best skiers from all over the world at the start of the winter season.
The men’s events take place on December 9th and 10th and the women’s events on 16th and 17th.
FRIDAY DECEMBER 8
Official opening of the 68th Critérium
Programme :
• From 5:30 p.m.: Street show in Avenue Olympique, DJ Loran and cheerleader’s (podium on Avenue Olympique)
• 6 p.m.: Official opening of the 68th Critérium with the presentation of Clément Noël’s film and signing of the DYNASTAR athletes.
• 6:30 p.m.: Public drawing of bibs (podium on Avenue Olympique)
Closure of Avenue Olympique between the 2 roundabouts from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Saturday 9th sees the men’s Giant race on the Face de Bellevarde, and on Sunday 10th the men’s Slalom. The following weekend sees the same events for the women competitors.
During the weekends there will be a dedicated Fan Zone open from 8.30am to 3.30 at the bottom of the finish area. It’s a festive area where you can watch the events with pop/rock concert, DJ, brass band, skis to test, brands of accessories on display, tastings of Savoyard specialties…etc. for 10€ per day.
