Alpine Experience are dedicated to off-piste / back-country skiing. Each day of the season they guide their clients, aiming to find the best virgin snow conditions available for their level. They strive to ski safely while working on technical skills and teaching off-piste awareness and procedures along the way.

Their groups are generally a maximum of six skiers, and they cater for newcomers to off-piste right up to the most experienced experts. Morning sessions run from 8:45 until 13:00 and the afternoon privates start at 14:00.

Each member of the Alpine Experience team searches for virgin snow every day. They don’t ski in other people’s tracks and they do what it takes to find the best snow available. It is best to be equipped with ski touring equipment to make the most of the opportunities, although it is not always necessary.  They often ski from the lift system with traverses and short walks with skis-over-the-shoulder, especially if there has been consistent snow. However, two or three days after a snowfall the resort becomes tracked-out and you then need to walk to find pristine trackless snow, which makes touring bindings and “skins” indispensable. However, don’t be afraid of the walking because it’s often only 15 to 20 minutes and these short hikes can open vast fields of trackless powder and give you a taste of the touring experience. They also have itineraries from 30 to 45 minutes and longer walks for those who enjoy the exertion, scenery and tranquillity that touring offers.
